Few days ago Android 2.3 Gingerbread has been officially announced. The changes and improvements are certainly a lot, such as on the virtual keyboard. Here is an instruction to install the new improved Gingerbread virtual keyboard on the Samsung Galaxy S.
The first thing you need to do is to download “signedkey.apk” .once it is done, transfer the file to your phone using any means. Browse the file on your phone and run it. Then you will get to the installation procedure just follow it.
After the installation is done navigate to the phone setting then select “Locale and Text” and enable the new keyboard. Now the new Gingerbread keyboard is available for you to use on your Samsung Galaxy S as an alternative.
This method has been tested on Android 2.2 Froyo-powered Samsung Galaxy S only but it is very possible that this keyboard will work also on other Android devices with other Android version as well.
